Rules & Guidelines

The Fantasy CPL beta follows a unified rule set for every league.

How it works (quick version)

Build your squad in a snake draft

Set your lineup weekly

Lineups lock at first kickoff

Earn points from CPL matches

Trade players anytime

Most points at the end wins

Lineup Lock

  • Lineups are set weekly.
  • Lineups lock at the first kickoff of the matchday.
  • Once locked, the starting XI and captain cannot change.

Why this matters

The first match of the week locks everything. Even if your player plays in a later match, you still need to decide before kickoff number one.

Key takeaways

Defenders carry surprise upside

Defenders benefit most from goals (+5) and clean sheets (+4), so they can swing a week fast.

Midfield goals matter

Midfielders earn more for goals than forwards, which can make them strong captain options.

Negative points still count

Cards, own goals, and bad captain choices can all hurt. Double points doubles the downside too.

Helpful term

A clean sheet is one of the best defensive point sources in the game.
